The exhibition 'El retrato español en el Museo del Prado. Del Greco a Goya' brings the programme 'The Travelling Prado' to Santiago de Compostela. This first exhibition, which will be present in Santiago de Compostela for two months and then in five other Galician cities, includes 60 portraits by some of Spain's most famous artists: El Greco, Goya, Sánchez Coello, Zurbarán, Velázquez, Murillo or Claudio Coello.
Some of the outstanding works on display are Velázquez's portrait of Felipe IV, Goya's portrait of Doña Tadea Arias de Enríquez, El Greco's Portrait of the Unknown Knight and other paintings by Juan Carreño de Miranda, Juan Pantoja de la Cruz, Luis Paret y Alcázar.

Festival featuring the promotion and tasting of ham, which is held on August 14 in the parish of Bermés (Lalín) and will reach its 16th year in 2014. Cured and roast ham is served, along with bread and wine.
