Galician female artists celebrate the 169th anniversary of the birth of Rosalía de Castro with an artistic-literary route through the city that the writer knew.
The itinerary will start at 7 pm at the Alameda Park and end at 20:30 h. at the Bonaval Park, stopping at rúa de Bautizados, praza de Fonterrabía, praza do Toural, rúa das Orfas, Arco de Mazarelos, Facultade de Historia, San Fiz de Solovio, rúa de Altamira, praza da Pescadería Vella and praza dos Bombeiros
Rosalía de Castro (1837-1883) is one of the greatest protagonists of regionalism in Spanish literature, and her intimate studies of the Galician province early brought her into literary prominence. Her 'Cantares gallegos' appeared in 1863; her 'En las orillas del Sar,' in 1884.
The exhibition is composed by contributions of the Library of 'Museo do Pobo Galego' the exhibition is divided into numerous display cabinets that show the evolution of the schedule of festivities in Galicia during a century of history, from 1880 until the 80s of the twentieth century.
