Like the 5th of every month, the Municipality of Touro holds its local market, but on this occasion it is devoted especially to chestnuts.
In this market, held from 9 am to 3 pm, visitors will find a range of agricultural and food products, with chestnuts and autumn products being the main feature of the day. There will also be the customary stalls selling clothes and footwear.
From 11 am to 3 pm, those in attendance can enjoy a traditional Galician-style octopus dish. Starting at midday, there is a “magosto” (meal featuring roasted chestnuts), a show featuring cakes made with characteristic autumn products and a display of decorated pumpkins outside the Town Hall.
