Santiago Tourism office handled 7,405 information requests during Easter
From March 27 to April 4, more than 5,676 information requests were received from Spanish visitors and 1,729 from foreign tourists.

Santiago Tourism’s office in Rúa do Vilar handled 7,405 information requests from March 27 to April 4. This represents a 28.31% increase over last year’s Easter figure and a 47.96% increase compared to the last Compostela Holy Year in 2004.
In relation to Spanish visitors, most information requests came from tourists from Madrid, followed by Compostela residents and then those from Catalonia, Basque Country, Castile-León and Andalusia.
In the case of requests by foreign visitors, more than 40 countries were represented, especially Portugal, Germany, Italy, France and the UK.
