Santiago Attends Fitur During Its Holy Year
Santiago Tourism returns to Fitur to promote the Holy Year and tourist attractions awaiting visitors to this Word Heritage City: from its gastronomy to the most original cultural products.

At Fitur, Santiago Tourism will present the city’s tourist attractions with its own counter inside the Xunta de Galicia stand. During Spain’s most important tourism fair, Santiago will also promote the Gastronomic Forum Santiago 2010, which will be held from February 20 to 24 with the theme ’Atlantic Cuisines.’
Santiago’s representatives will participate in meetings with the Spanish Group of World Heritage Cities, of which Santiago is a member, as well as the Spanish Association of Gastronomy Destinations and the Green Spain’s ’Cool Cities.’ There will also be meetings with important European and South American tour operators, interested in cultural tourism and Compostela’s 2010 Holy Year.
During the first two days of the Fitur Congresses fair, the Santiago de Compostela Convention Bureau presented the city’s resources for holding congresses, incentive trips and professional meetings.
