‘Cool Cities’ hold their assembly in Gijón
The network of five Green Spain cities will debate joint initiatives to be undertaken in 2010, with a view to increasing their tourist visibility.
10.11.2009
Santiago Tourism manager, Maruxa Ledo, will attend on November 11 a General Assembly featuring the Galician, Basque and Asturian cities that make up the Cool Cities group. Cool Cities is a tourist brand featuring five cities belonging to the Green Spain promotional group: San Sebastian, Avilés, Gijón, A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela. The five stand out due to their location on Spain’s north coast and their innovative urban image, featuring their heritage, nature, gastronomy and intense cultural life. The cities’ objective is the joint promotion of their privileged lifestyle and traditional hospitality within the Green Spain. The assembly will consider the possibility of accepting Bilbao and Vitoria as new members.
